RGUHS transcripts are issued by the Registrar (Evaluation) at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, 4th ‘T’ Block, Jayanagar, Bengaluru 560041. FACTS coordinates the full process for doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and allied health graduates applying to licensing authorities, credential evaluation bodies and universities abroad.

RGUHS is unusual among Indian universities in how quickly it moves. In our case history it is one of the quickest Indian universities to issue transcripts, though the university does not publish a formal service standard.

This guide covers everything an RGUHS graduate is likely to need: what an RGUHS transcript actually is, who typically needs one, which countries and organizations commonly request it, required documents, the application process, sealed and international delivery, common mistakes, and answers to 20 frequently asked questions. If you need a different document, see our guides to the RGUHS Degree Certificate, RGUHS Degree Verification, RGUHS Medium of Instruction, or RGUHS ECCTIS Email Verification.

RGUHS Student Services

Quick answer

An RGUHS transcript is the attested academic record issued by the Registrar (Evaluation) at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, used for credential evaluation (WES, IQAS, ECE), professional licensing (DataFlow, CGFNS, PEBC, NDEB, CAPR) and admission abroad. RGUHS charges ₹1,500 for each set of a consolidated marks card / transcript — the university’s own published charge, separate from any service fee. There is no online transcript portal at the university: the application is made on the RGUHS prescribed form, and only the fee is paid online. FACTS works from Bengaluru and handles document review, application preparation, filing and follow-up for RGUHS graduates, including applicants outside India, who send scans rather than originals. Through FACTS, a complete file is usually processed in 1 to 3 working days, or around 5 working days where extra verification is needed; university and courier time are additional. If you instead need confirmation that a degree is genuine, see our RGUHS Degree Verification guide.

RGUHS Transcript Fees — Official University Charges

These are the charges printed on the RGUHS application form itself. They are official RGUHS university charges, not FACTS charges, and they are not the total cost of getting a transcript delivered.

RGUHS service (as named on the form)Official RGUHS charge
Consolidated Marks Card / TranscriptRs. 1,500/- each set
Attestation of the Marks Card / Degree Certificate
(the form heads this section “Verification/Attestation”)
Rs. 1,000/- each set, and Rs. 1,000/- extra for any additional information form

Last checked: 10 September 2026. Source: RGUHS, “Application for: A) Consolidated Marks Card/ Transcript B) Verification/Attestation of the Marks Card/ Degree Certificate” — official application form (PDF).

Two details worth knowing before you pay. The Rs. 1,000 “additional information form” charge belongs to the attestation section of the form, not to the transcript itself. And RGUHS states on the form that “All payments shall be made through online payment gateway of RGUHS” — the fee is paid online even though the application itself is not.

Where these figures live. At the time of writing, the links on the current RGUHS Downloads page resolve to a “coming soon” placeholder, and RGUHS directs visitors to its previous website for material published before 16 July 2026. The working form is the archived PDF linked above. University fees can change without notice, so confirm the current charge with the Office of the Registrar (Evaluation) before making any payment.

What FACTS charges

FACTS service charges are separate from the university fee and depend on the documents required, the number of sets, the follow-up involved and the delivery destination. We confirm the applicable service charge before processing, along with courier cost at actual. You will know the full figure before anything is filed.

What an RGUHS transcript actually is

RGUHS does not print a separate transcript document. An official RGUHS transcript is a set of photocopies of your own marks cards and degree certificate, each attested and stamped by the university, then sealed in an envelope signed across the back flap by the authorised officer.

If a stack of stamped photocopies arrives rather than a printed record, nothing has gone wrong. That is the correct and complete document, and it is the format WES, ECE, ICAS, IQAS, Dataflow and the health regulators expect from Indian universities.

There is no electronic or PDF transcript at RGUHS. Hard copy in a sealed envelope is the only format issued. What is available separately is email verification, where a regulator or university writes to RGUHS to confirm your record directly. We arrange and follow up those requests.

Sealed Transcripts, in Short

The seal and signature across the back flap are what give the envelope its evidentiary value to a receiving organization. Treat it as tamper-evident packaging: once opened, most organizations will no longer accept it as valid.

Electronic Delivery, in Short

There is no PDF or emailed transcript file. The one electronic option is email verification, where a regulator or university writes directly to RGUHS to confirm a record — a separate service from the transcript itself.

International Delivery, in Short

Sealed envelopes are dispatched by international courier once issued. Courier transit time runs on top of RGUHS’s own processing time and varies by destination country.

Which RGUHS Graduates Typically Need a Transcript?

RGUHS affiliates colleges across nearly every regulated healthcare discipline, so transcript requests come from a wide range of graduates, each with a different typical destination for the document:

Medical and Dental Graduates

MBBS, MD, MS, DM, MCh, BDS, and MDS graduates commonly need transcripts for overseas medical or dental licensing, residency or specialist applications, and hospital credentialing. These applications often go through primary source verification bodies such as ECFMG/EPIC, the GMC, or Dataflow.

Nursing Graduates

BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing, GNM, and Post Basic BSc Nursing graduates frequently request transcripts for overseas nursing registration, often alongside a medium of instruction certificate, particularly for UK-bound applications assessed through ECCTIS.

Pharmacy Graduates

B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and PharmD graduates typically need transcripts for pharmacy licensing pathways abroad, including in jurisdictions where PEBC or an equivalent regulator evaluates foreign credentials.

Physiotherapy and Allied Health Graduates

BPT, MPT, BASLP, and BOT graduates commonly need transcripts for professional registration or employment abroad, and allied health and laboratory science graduates often need transcripts for Dataflow or employer verification.

AYUSH Graduates

BAMS, BHMS, and BNYS graduates occasionally need transcripts where the destination country recognizes AYUSH qualifications, though recognition varies considerably and should be checked with the receiving authority before applying.

Where RGUHS graduates send their documents

RGUHS graduates are mostly regulated professionals, so documents usually go to a licensing authority rather than only to a credential evaluator. The requirements differ by profession.

What each profession usually needs

QualificationDocuments usually requiredWhere they go
MBBS, MD, MSTranscript, degree verificationECFMG and EPIC, GMC, AHPRA, Dataflow for the Gulf

Allied health and laboratory sciencesTranscriptDataflow, employer verification, credential evaluation bodies

Doctors

ECFMG and EPIC for the United States, the GMC for the United Kingdom, the Medical Council of Canada, AHPRA for Australia, and the Gulf authorities — DHA and DOH in the UAE, MOH, SCFHS in Saudi Arabia — usually through Dataflow primary source verification. Most of these verify with the university directly rather than accepting documents from you, which is where the email verification route matters.

Nurses

NMC UK, CGFNS and NCLEX for the United States, AHPRA for Australia, and NNAS for Canada. UK applications very often need a medium of instruction certificate alongside the transcript, and ECCTIS assessment. This is the single most common RGUHS request we handle.

Shruti obtained an RGUHS medium of instruction certificate for UK ECCTIS, formerly NARIC.
Shruti obtained an RGUHS medium of instruction certificate for UK ECCTIS, formerly NARIC.

Dentists

The National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB), the Australian Dental Council, and the GDC for the United Kingdom. NDEB requires documents sent directly by the university.

Pharmacists

The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC), the Pharmacy Council of Australia and the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand.

Physiotherapists

The Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR), and AHPRA for Australia.

Credential evaluation and immigration

WES, ECE, ICAS, IQAS and the University of Alberta for Canada and the United States; ECCTIS for the United Kingdom; NZQA for New Zealand; ZAB for Germany; CIMEA for Italy; QVP where required. These apply where the purpose is immigration, further study or employment rather than clinical licensure.

The rule that applies almost everywhere

The sealed envelope must reach the receiving body directly from the university. Opening it to check the contents invalidates it, without exception and with no way to reseal. If you want to see what is inside, ask for a scanned copy at the time of issuance.

Which Countries Typically Require RGUHS Transcripts?

RGUHS graduates relocate for work, study, and licensing across a wide range of countries. Requirements are set by the destination country and the specific organization involved, not by RGUHS or FACTS, so the table below describes typical use cases rather than fixed rules.

DestinationTypical Purpose
CanadaCredential evaluation (WES, ICES) and professional licensing (PEBC, CGFNS)
AustraliaRegistration with AHPRA or further study
United KingdomEmployment, NMC registration, or education, often with ECCTIS assessment
United StatesCredential evaluation and licensing (ECFMG/EPIC, CGFNS)
New ZealandRegistration or immigration
United Arab EmiratesEmployment, typically via Dataflow (DHA, DOH)
Saudi ArabiaProfessional licensing, typically via Dataflow (MOH, SCFHS)
QatarEmployment-related verification
OmanProfessional verification

Requirements can change, and not every graduate applying to a given country needs the same documents. It is worth confirming the exact document list with the receiving organization before applying.

How to apply for an RGUHS transcript

Through FACTS

  1. Send scans of your marks cards and degree certificate by email or WhatsApp, or raise an enquiry through the form.
  2. We review your documents and send the exact requirement, fee and timeline for your case.
  3. You confirm and send a signed authorisation. We tell you upfront whether originals are needed.
  4. We file at RGUHS and follow up in person.
  5. Where the applicable RGUHS process permits it, the sealed envelope goes from the university to your regulator, evaluation body, university or address, with tracking. Where it does not, we tell you what the university requires and how the documents will reach you. RGUHS itself publishes no rule on sealing or on dispatch to evaluators, so we describe only what we arrange, case by case.

Applying directly

Applicants may apply directly to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Based on our operational experience, direct applications often take around 15 to 20 working days, depending on university workload and follow-up requirements.

FACTS prioritises document preparation, verification and university coordination, and eligible priority RGUHS transcript cases are typically completed within 1 to 3 working days. Timelines may vary depending on document completeness, university holidays and verification requirements.

Documents required

FACTS does not issue transcripts. RGUHS does. We prepare, file and follow up the application under your written authorisation and arrange dispatch of the sealed envelope the university produces.

Need Your RGUHS Transcript While Outside Bengaluru or India?

You do not have to be in Bengaluru to begin. Send us scans of your marks cards and degree certificate and we will review them, tell you exactly what your case needs, prepare the application, file it at the university and follow up in person. Our team is in Bengaluru, which is where the Registrar (Evaluation) office sits.

What we will not pretend. The RGUHS application form provides for the candidate to apply, asks for a requisition letter from the candidate, and states that an identity card is mandatory to collect any certificate in person. So if RGUHS requires a declaration, a signature, identity proof or some other applicant-specific action on your case, we will tell you before processing rather than discover it halfway through. Most of our overseas applicants send scans and a signed authorisation and do nothing else — but we would rather you knew where the boundary sits.

FACTS is an independent document-assistance service. We are not authorised by RGUHS and we do not claim that the university accepts a representative in every situation.

How Long Does an RGUHS Transcript Take?

Official RGUHS position: no published turnaround time. Neither the RGUHS application form nor the university FAQ states a processing time for transcripts, so any fixed guarantee quoted elsewhere is a service provider’s own promise rather than the university’s. FACTS experience: the figures below come from our own RGUHS case history, counted in working days from the point a complete document set is accepted. They are not guaranteed by the university. Courier time is additional, and the evaluator’s own queue after delivery is outside anyone’s control.

SituationTypical time

Additional verification or extra documents requiredAround 5 working days
Email verification for a regulator or universityHandled separately alongside the transcript
One or more marks cards missingDuplicate marks card process first

RGUHS Transcript for WES (Canada and USA)

This is the most common reason RGUHS graduates come to us. It helps to keep two separate things straight, because they are set by two different organisations.

WES requirement

WES states that it “requires that the appropriate accredited educational authority seal academic documents and send them directly to WES for credential evaluation”, and that where an institution will not send documents directly, an applicant “may be able to send your documents yourself in sealed envelopes provided by your institution”. For India, WES accepts “consolidated transcripts and yearly mark sheets, provided they are issued by degree-granting institutions”, alongside the degree certificate. The Academic Records Request Form is no longer offered as a public download — WES now asks applicants to sign in to their WES account and download it from the Required Documents section. Source: wes.org. Checked 10 September 2026.

RGUHS process

RGUHS issues the consolidated marks card / transcript against its prescribed form and its own fee. The university publishes no rule about sealing envelopes and no rule about dispatching documents to WES or to any other evaluator, and it publishes no processing time. Anything you read that presents those as official RGUHS procedure is not sourced from the university.

One thing we will not tell you. We do not state that RGUHS is “WES approved” or WES-listed. WES does not publish that about RGUHS anywhere we can verify, and its institution-specific requirements sit behind a login in each applicant’s own WES account. Several competing sites assert it; none of them can source it. Check your own WES account for what WES asks of your institution, and we will work to that.

A detail that saves some applicants a step: WES does not require bachelor’s documents for an Indian Master of Nursing or M.Pharm, which covers a good share of RGUHS postgraduates. We still suggest keeping the undergraduate set available, because CGFNS and NNAS assess differently.

Need Degree Verification Instead of a Transcript?

These are two different requirements and it is worth checking which one you actually have. A transcript is a document issued to you. Degree verification is a confirmation issued about you, to a third party such as an employer, a licensing regulator or a screening agency — often called primary source verification.

For healthcare credentials from Karnataka there is a government route worth knowing about: the Single Window Verification System, described on its own portal as being “Monitored by Nodal Officer, Directorate of Medical Education” under the Government of Karnataka, which handles primary qualification verification, health licence verification and Good Standing Certificates, and requires the consent of the person whose documents are being verified. Source: dme.myapplications.io. Checked 10 September 2026. This matters most for DataFlow submissions to Gulf regulators and for CGFNS or NNAS files where the assessing body wants confirmation from the source rather than a document handed over by the applicant.

Full detail on that route, including how FACTS assists with it, is on the RGUHS degree verification guide. If what you need is the degree certificate itself — original, duplicate or provisional — see RGUHS degree certificates.

What about a medium of instruction letter?

RGUHS publishes a university-wide notification stating that the “Medium of Instruction for all the courses conducted by RGUHS is English Only”. That blanket notification is what the university publishes; we have not found an official RGUHS process, form or fee for an individual, per-student medium of instruction certificate, and we will not claim one exists. What your evaluator will accept varies, and UK applications through ECCTIS ask for this more often than most. The RGUHS medium of instruction page covers what we can and cannot obtain, and RGUHS ECCTIS verification covers the UK route, where the agency emails the university directly rather than accepting a document from you.

Common problems and mistakes

Why FACTS

Coordinating an RGUHS transcript for a regulated healthcare qualification often means dealing with multiple parties at once — the university, a credential evaluator, and sometimes a licensing authority. FACTS handles that coordination on your behalf.

Document review

We check your marks cards and degree certificate before filing, so avoidable gaps are caught early.

University submission

We file your application at RGUHS and follow up in person rather than leaving it to sit in a queue.

Application tracking

We keep you updated on where your file stands, from filing through to dispatch.

Courier support

Once the sealed envelope is issued, we coordinate international courier dispatch with tracking.

Professional document handling

Sensitive academic records are handled by a dedicated team familiar with RGUHS’s specific process.

Cluster expertise

Beyond transcripts, we handle degree certificates and degree verification for the same graduates, so related requests do not need a different provider.

Sources and review information

Fees, forms and university procedure on this page were checked against RGUHS’s own published sources on 10 September 2026: the official application form (PDF), the RGUHS FAQ, the examination section and the downloads page. Evaluator requirements are quoted from wes.org. University information was also checked against University Grants Commission records. The 1996 establishment and the transfer of health science colleges from the conventional universities are set out in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Act 1994. Regulator and evaluation requirements are set by those organisations and change from time to time; confirm the current position on their own websites before dispatch. Processing times are drawn from our own case history and are not published or guaranteed by the university.

What we cannot control: the availability of authorised signatories, discrepancies between your documents and the university record, regulator processing time after delivery.

FACTS Transcripts & Verification Inc. is an independent professional document-assistance service and is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Applicants may apply directly to the university at no service cost, and that process is described above. FACTS has successfully assisted 8,000+ doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with transcript, verification and documentation services. Last reviewed: 4 August 2026.

class="faq-section">
How long does an RGUHS transcript take?+

Through FACTS, 1 to 3 working days for a complete file, or around 5 working days where extra verification is needed. RGUHS is quicker than most Indian universities in our experience, though the university does not publish a service standard. Courier time to your recipient is additional.

Does RGUHS issue electronic or PDF transcripts?+

No. As of August 2026 RGUHS issues transcripts only as hard copies: attested photocopies of your marks cards and degree certificate, sealed in a stamped envelope. Email verification is available separately, where a regulator or university writes to RGUHS to confirm your record directly.

Can RGUHS send my transcript directly to Dataflow or my regulator?+

Yes, and for most regulators it must arrive directly from the university rather than from you. Have your Dataflow, NMC, NDEB, PEBC or WES reference number ready before dispatch, because the envelope cannot be matched to your file without it.

Can FACTS assist with Dataflow verification?+

Yes. We handle Dataflow primary source verification for RGUHS graduates, coordinating the university side of the process and the dispatch of the documents Dataflow requires. Requirements differ between the Gulf authorities, DHA, DOH, MOH and SCFHS, so tell us which one you are applying to.

I am a nurse applying to the UK. What do I need?+

Usually the transcript plus a medium of instruction certificate, and often ECCTIS assessment. The medium of instruction certificate is the part most often forgotten.

Do internship documents need to be included?+

Internship certificates are not included in the RGUHS transcript process. If a regulator separately requires internship documentation, it must be obtained independently from the relevant institution.

Do you handle the syllabus and course content documents?+

RGUHS does not normally include syllabus or course content documents as part of transcript issuance. If your regulator requires these separately, FACTS can advise you on the appropriate process.

Can someone apply on my behalf?+

Yes. A signed authorisation letter is enough, and we provide the template. This is how every overseas RGUHS application we handle works. You do not need to grant power of attorney or travel to Bengaluru.

Can I apply from outside India?+

Yes. Scans of your documents and a signed authorisation are enough. You should not have the sealed envelope couriered to you abroad if it is destined for a regulator, because it must arrive directly from the university.

Can I request multiple sealed envelopes?+

Yes, and you should if more than one body needs your documents. Each set is sealed in its own envelope and serves one recipient, so a nurse applying to both NMC UK and CGFNS needs two. Request them together at the application stage, because ordering more later means repeating the process.

What if I have lost my marks cards?+

Duplicates must be obtained from RGUHS first, which adds time. Tell us at the enquiry stage so both run as one sequence rather than discovering the gap midway.

What does an RGUHS transcript cost?+

There are two separate amounts. The university charge is published by RGUHS on its own application form: Rs. 1,500/- each set for a consolidated marks card / transcript, and Rs. 1,000/- each set for attestation of a marks card or degree certificate, paid through the RGUHS online payment gateway (checked 10 September 2026; university fees can change, so confirm before paying). The FACTS service charge is separate and depends on the documents required, the number of sets, the follow-up involved and the delivery destination; courier is charged at actual. We confirm the applicable service charge before anything is filed.

What if my college has closed or merged with RGUHS?+

RGUHS is an affiliating university, so it typically retains central academic records for its affiliated colleges even if a specific college has since closed, merged, or been renamed. If your college is no longer active, RGUHS is generally still the right university to approach for your transcript.

What if my name has changed since graduation?+

A name change can usually be accommodated, but you will typically need to provide supporting documents such as a gazette notification, marriage certificate, or affidavit linking your old and new names, alongside your usual transcript documents.

Do I need both a transcript and degree verification from RGUHS?+

Some organizations request both at once — a transcript for the academic record and a separate degree verification to confirm the qualification is genuine. Whether you need one or both depends on the specific requirement stated by the requesting organization. See our RGUHS Degree Verification guide for more detail.

Can I request a Medium of Instruction certificate together with my transcript?+

Yes. Many nursing and healthcare graduates request an MOI certificate alongside their transcript, particularly for UK-bound applications. See our RGUHS Medium of Instruction guide for what this certificate covers.

How are RGUHS transcripts sealed, and why does it matter?+

RGUHS transcripts are issued as attested photocopies of your marks cards and degree certificate, sealed in an envelope signed across the back flap by an authorised officer. Opening the envelope generally invalidates it for the receiving organization, so it should only be opened by the intended recipient.

Can RGUHS transcripts be couriered internationally, and how long does that add?+

Yes, sealed envelopes can generally be couriered internationally once issued. Courier transit time is additional to RGUHS's own processing time and depends on the destination country and courier service used.

Is a transcript the same as degree verification?+

No. A transcript is your detailed academic record, while degree verification is a separate confirmation, carried out directly with the university, that a specific degree was genuinely awarded. Some processes require only one of these documents, and some require both — see our RGUHS Degree Verification guide.

What happens if RGUHS cannot locate my academic records?+

This is uncommon but can happen with older records or where a college has closed. In these cases, RGUHS may ask for additional supporting documents, such as your original mark sheets or admission records, before it can proceed.

Can I apply for an RGUHS transcript online?+

No. RGUHS does not run an online transcript portal. Its own FAQ states that “the student can apply for transcript/consolidated marks card in the prescribed form available at RGUHS website along with prescribed fee”, and the form itself says all payments are made through the RGUHS online payment gateway. So the fee is paid online; the application is not. Checked 10 September 2026.

Is an RGUHS transcript the same as a consolidated marks card?+

On the university’s own form they are the same service. The application is headed “Consolidated Marks Card / Transcript” and carries a single charge of Rs. 1,500/- each set, with the same document list for both. If an evaluator asks you for a “consolidated transcript”, this is the document they mean.
